Fishers Cottage is situated on the famous Kinnaird top beat of the River South Esk near Brechin, Angus, 40 miles South of Aberdeen. We have access to some very good beats with excellent fly water on the North & South Esks, Dee, Tummel and Tay and also some very good stillwater fisheries. We are both fully qualified game angling and casting instructors (SGAIC) specialising in all “off the water” casts, single & double spey, snake roll, Snap “T” and circle “ C “ etc We are both members of the Hardy / Greys Angling Academy and regularly demonstrate fly casting for Hardy / Greys at the Scottish and CLA Gamefairs ( I’m the beardy one with the kilt ). Fishers Cottage can accommodate up to eight sharing in 4 twin rooms ( 3 with en-suite ) either B&B or on a full board basis. We have our own casting pond with purpose built platform for teaching and practising. We can create a package to suit your needs with tuition by the hour, half / full day or we can accompany you for a full days fishing advising you on various techniques, fly and line selection etc.. We always have a good selection of the latest Hardy / Greys rods and reels to have a cast with. Jean particularly enjoys teaching kids so call us for special family rates. |
