Full-time professional fly fishing and fly casting instructor and guide. Operating to the south west and west of London on a variety of scenic chalkstream and stillwater locations, including the rivers Test, Kennet, Lambourn, Wylye and Coln (Cotswolds). 30 years of fly fishing experience with the last 12 years being based on the chalkstreams. A full-time professional since achieving the Sport England Salmon & Trout Association Level 2 Certificate in Coaching Game Angling. Specialising in full or half-days of fly fishing instruction, giving pupils a detailed insight into all aspects of Trout and Grayling fly fishing. As well as fly casting tuition and an introduction to fly fishing tackle, watercraft, knots and safety much emphasis is placed on actual fly fishing techniques – dry fly, nymph, stalking, etc. – and on learning how to catch fish. After a day’s instruction a good level of self-sufficiency should have been reached. Go Fly Fishing UK provide fly fishing tuition, guided days and short-breaks at many scenic countryside locations in England and Wales. |
