WILDSIDE is a collaboration between Esk and Borders guide service and Westlake fly fishing. Taking full advantage of the international fly fishing experience of Ian and Tony, Wildside will organize accompanied and guided trips to various desirable international destinations. Tony has fished extensively in Australia, Asia and the Caribbean for wild trout and various saltwater fly takers. In the Bahamas Wildside have access to Bone fishing on Acklins where Tony has worked for several season as well as other islands . Acklyns is remote and undeveloped, it provides superlative fishing for Bones, and Permit on extensive saltwater flats that are very lightly fished compared to other Caribbean locations. Barracuda and various members of the Jack family provide an alturnative to Bones as do Sharks and Snapper. The camp is Spartan but clean and comfortable with a good bar and it is literally on top of the fishing flats. In Kenya we operate at the Ocean Sports hotel in the center of the Kenyan Big game fishery. Whilst you will without doubt want to try for the bill fish on the big boats, we can also offer excellent fly fishing from skiffs for Bonito, Dorado, Yellow Finn Tuna, Frigate Mackerel and Jacks. Fly fishing for Sailfish is on hand. Special safari trips to the flats of Northern Kenya for Bonefish and Giant Trevelly, or inland safaris for wild Brown and rainbow Trout, Tiger fish, and Nile perch can be arranged. Stripped bass fishing in cape Anne with easy, cheap flights in and out of Boston. Cape Anne with Pete Lennon as a guide is a wonderful location for a family friendly fishing holiday. There are long semi private beaches and rocky shorelines and the shops of Boston are always just a hour or so away. Gloucester is the biggest town with a rich history of commercial fishing, it was the location for the "Perfect Storm" in short there is loads to do and the fishing is excelent. Including freshwater fishing for Black Bass. Wildside trips to cold water destinations include the Skeena river in British Columbia for Steelhead and Pacific Salmon and the Norwiegan Rivers for ther chance of that big double figured Atlantic Salmon. |
